After previous stints as a visiting researcher and employee of the Fish Department, Greer Howarth has rejoined the staff as a Technical Officer.

Greer is involved in a research project with Jeff Leis, which aims to investigate larval fish behaviour and develop a numerical larval dispersal model. It is hoped that this model will help in the management of marine protected areas and fisheries as well as adding to knowledge of how fish behave before settlement.

Greer's employment in the Fish Department extended from 1 December until 30 June 2007.
