The Fish Department - Research

Michelle is working with with Jeff Leis on a project that is investigating larval fish behaviour. They aim to develop a numerical larval dispersal model. It is hoped that this model will help in the management of marine protected areas and fisheries as well as adding to knowledge of how fish behave before settlement.

Michelle graduated with an MSc in 2003. She is currently working on her PhD, in which she is investigating marine interstitial amphipods.

Michelle began work in the Fish Department in May 2007. The project will run for three years.
