Australian Museum Members is the membership branch of the Australian Museum. It began in 1972 to support and promote the work of the Museum - Australia's oldest museum.

The Members broad role is to support the Museum's work by providing a forum to highlight its exhibitions and scientific research. In addition, the Members provides an arena for the discussion of wider scientific, social and cultural issues, but most importantly, the Members enables the community to become directly involved in the Museum's activities.

Today, the Australian Museum Members has several thousand Members who each enjoy many benefits. These range from free entry to the Australian Museum every day of the year, a 10% discount at the Museum's bookshop and eateries, as well as subscription to the Australian Museum's 'Explore' magazine, a 10% discount at all Berkelouw Bookstores, a 10% discount at Pearsons Florist and more.

Members also have the opportunity to attend special events (for which they receive advance notice and discounts). The events range from night lectures to behind the scenes tours, day trips, kids activities, overseas trips and more.
