There are free Museum Guided Tours and a program of Temporary Exhibitions and Events that change regularly. You cannot book tickets for tours or exhibitions, unless you are visiting as a group in which case you must book your visit in advance.
To help you find your way around the Museum you will be given a free guide map that includes a self-guided highlights tour over the three levels of the Museum. During busy periods like the school holidays we provide a what's on leaflet with information on the activities each day.
You can print out Museum Guide Maps, which show a floorplan of each level of the Museum from this website. The Museum can get very busy, particularly during school holidays. It's a good idea to visit during the week if you can, or get here before 11am, as mornings can be quieter.
